Creo que es hora de ir adelantando algo.
En !p4g estamos desarrolando un nuevo cliente para !gnusocial hecho íntegramente en #sh para la línea de comandos lo que significa que es de lo más simple y minimalista, que no requiere dependencias, ni librerías adicionales, ni tampoco necesita compilar absolutamente nada y que funciona en cualquier distribución del tipo '*nix'
El estado de desarrollo es muy temprano, y debo decir que puede resultar hasta peligroso usarlo. Sin embargo, este post es una muestra de que el #script funciona. Quienes tengan ganas de jugar un poco y probar están invitados (si lo hacen, por favor pasen comentarios, ideas, problemas que encuentren). Si leen el código encontrarán un sinnúmero de desastres que están por ser corregidos, limpiados, ordenados.

sshblame es un #shellscript para #ssh hardening. Cada vez que un comando ssh es ejecutado en un servidor, el #script envía un mensaje a un destinatario #xmpp, sea este uno o varios usuarios o una sala de #chat, notificando acerca de la ejecución con información detallada del comando y los datos del cliente que inició la conexión.

This is part of an #nginx config. I don't know anything about nginx other than it's a web server that is supposedly more performant than Apache. Does anyone see anything obviously wrong with it?

Ya lo dije, hay un #script que sirve para automatizar el proceso de respaldo de bases de datos tanto #mysql (tcc #mariadb) como #postgresql Opcionalmente y para darle un enfoque en seguridad, el endemoniado script saca un archivo #sha256sum y una firma #gpg para verificación en un futuro. Además y opcionalmente sincroniza los archivos a un directorio remoto (con #rsync, permitiendo pasarle todas las opciones que te vengan en gana). Por último, una cerecita: notifica a una cuenta #xmpp o a una sala de chat (con #sendxmpp). Maldad contra uno mismo es no probarlo y jugarlo mientras nosotros lo vamos terminando (sí está en desarrollo, así que hay cosas que pulir y que no funcionan como uno espera). Vuelca tu base de datos (tanto si es mysql (mariadb) o postgresql), obtén su suma sha256 y fírmala con gpg (escribiendo la salida a archivos para futura verficación), sincroniza todo a un host remoto (usando rsync), notifícate al respecto a tu cuenta xmpp o a una sala de chat (con sendxmpp). Ve y consigue una cerveza y deja que el script haga el trabajo.
dbdssn es un #script para #shell que simplifica y automatiza el proceso de respaldo de bases de datos. Más información en el repositorio oficial de p4g
PS: aún está en desarrollo, pero básicamente funciona, es decir, hace lo que debe, pero esperen algunos problemas y errores

I'm not sure if this is better for !sysadmin or a development group, but has there been any serious 128-bit GNU/Linux work? I really don't keep up with hardware news at all...I really don't keep up with any sort of news really. We do have a StarTribune in our break room, so I see some of the stories there, but I don't ever really read the articles. I do of course see articles people share from time to time, but I have so little time to actually read the articles.

There's both SIP for call setup, and RTSP for media (ie. the voice). A maluser can set up a call with SIP without generating any RTSP traffic, so you might not notice any increase in traffic, but still get charged for the call
